At Turf Exchange our installation process in unique.  Instead of using a conventional straight cut, which often results in visible seams, we use an "S" cut.  By using this unique cut we are able to install new and seamless turf lawns for our customers.

Step 1:

The first step in the Turf Installation process is to kill the sod, remove 3-4" and cover any sprinklers.

Step 2:

The second step is to prepare the lawn for compacting. This is done by leveling out the lawn and ensuring that it will drain properly.

Step 3:

The next step is to compact the lawn so that the turf and installation materials can be laid down smoothly and properly.

Step 4

The ground is then covered by a weed barrier to prevent any weeds from growing through the turf's surface.

Step 5:

After the weed barrier is in place, the turf is rolled out onto the lawn.

Step 6:

The turf is then cut to fit the lawn and a seam is planned to install the turf as clean as possible.

Step 7:

Nails are then applied 18-24" apart throughout the lawn and every 2-3" around the perimeter to hold the turf in place.

Step 8:

Infill is then added to the turf and a broom roller is used to distribute the infill evenly.

Step 9:

The lawn is then finished and ready to be enjoyed!
